Privacy Policy

K-Sarangbang is run by GrooBree. This page explains what information the site handles and why. You can read every page without an account, and the site sets no cookies.

When you read the site

We don't ask for your name or email address, and there is no sign-up.

When you open the site's main address, your country (as reported by our hosting network, Cloudflare) is used once to choose the page language. It isn't stored.

If you pick a chart in the chart strip, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it's remembered next time. It never leaves your browser.

When you post a cheer

We store your message, the artist or member you cheered for, your country, the page language, the time, and a short code made from your IP address and the date. Your IP address itself is not stored.

Only the message and your country are shown publicly. The code is used only to limit hearts (one per member every two hours), stop spam and handle reports, and it changes every day.

If you report a cheer, we store which message you reported and the same kind of code, so each person can report a message only once.

When you send us a message

If you use the contact form, we store your email address, your message, the page language, the time, and the same kind of daily code (not your IP address). Cloudflare's email service forwards the message to our inbox. To block spam bots, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser when you open the form.

We use your email address only to reply to you.

How long we keep it

Cheers are kept for one month. When the month's results are final (early the following month), they're deleted — except messages to the Idol of the Month, which stay on the home page for one more month and are then deleted. Report records are deleted along with the cheers.

Each month's results (team averages and counts per member) are kept as a record. They contain no personal information.

Contact messages are deleted after 12 months.

Services we use

Cloudflare hosts the site and stores cheers (Cloudflare Workers and D1). Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver pages.

Some fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers.

Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube's image servers. A video player is loaded only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

Links to other sites — ticket sellers, music services, official accounts — follow those sites' own policies.

Messages from the contact form are delivered to our Gmail inbox (Google) through Cloudflare Email Routing.

Ads and analytics

The site doesn't show ads or use analytics tools right now. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

Your information and your choices

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone other than the services above.

To have a cheer you wrote removed, email us the message, the page and roughly when you posted it. Cheers aren't linked to a person, so that's how we find it.
