On the Billboard charts dated October 24, released on October 20 (US time), BTS's fifth studio album "ARIRANG" was No. 41 on the Billboard 200. It rose two places from the previous week and has now spent 30 straight weeks on the chart. The album entered at No. 1 on the chart dated April 4 and stayed at the top for three weeks in a row. This week it was No. 17 on Top Album Sales. The title track "SWIM" was No. 26 on the Global 200 and No. 9 on the Global Excl. US, where it has now spent a total of 29 weeks in the top 10. The album track "NORMAL" was also No. 183 and No. 96 on the two charts.
Why it matters — The music video for the album track "Hooligan" passed 100 million YouTube views in mid-October, the album's third video to do so after "SWIM" and "2.0". On concert trade publication Pollstar's Global Concert Pulse dated October 16, BTS were No. 1 for the seventh week in a row, averaging $14.82 million per show across eight counted shows. The "ARIRANG" world tour, which began in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, in April, is planned for 88 shows in total; its 12 shows in six North American cities in August brought in $171.7 million in ticket sales.
