BTS pass 5 billion Spotify streams with ARIRANG

BTS's fifth studio album, ARIRANG, has passed 5 billion streams on Spotify, BIGHIT MUSIC said on October 14. That is the most for any album released this year, about 2 billion more than the No. 2 album. All 14 tracks are above 200 million, and the title track "SWIM" is nearing 1 billion. "No.29", a track that holds only the sound of the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok, has also passed 200 million.

Why it matters — ARIRANG is the first album with all members together in three years and nine months. It passed 110 million plays on its release day, March 20, and spent three straight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the first group album to do that since 2012.
